A Quick Note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to sign up or purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. When discussing overlooked income streams for coaches, I only share tools and resources I genuinely use and love. Gracias for supporting my work in this way!If you’re interested in learning more about overlooked income streams for coaches, you’re in the right place.

Let me tell you something I wish I had learned earlier: there are often overlooked income streams for coaches that can significantly boost your earnings. Discovering these can open up new financial opportunities.
You don’t need to burn out, go viral, or keep dancing on reels just to grow your income.
I used to think, “If I just post more, show up more, sell harder… maybe that’ll bring in more money.”
But the truth? More effort doesn’t always equal more income — especially when you’re running on fumes.
The shift for me happened when I realized this:
There are ways to earn that don’t require me to be “on” 24/7 — ways that honor my energy, my voice, and my story.
In this post, I’m going to show you some of the most overlooked ways I started earning more as a coach, especially during the quiet seasons. These are things you might already be doing — or at least talking about — without realizing you can monetize them.
So if you’ve ever felt like your income is tied only to clients or launches, let’s open that up a little.

1. I Started Getting Paid for Things I Was Already Using
Let’s start with something simple: affiliate links.
Listen, I used to feel weird about affiliate marketing. Like I needed to have 100K followers or be “salesy” to make it work. But then I realized I was recommending tools anyway — not because I was trying to earn, but because they genuinely helped me.
I started with Airtable. It’s the backbone of my business, and when I found out they had a referral program? I signed up. Now I earn a little every time someone joins through my link. Below, I am sharing examples of my Artable Hubs.

Not thousands. Not life-changing. But enough to remind me that every dollar counts when you’re building something sustainable.
Here’s your reminder:
If you’re using something you love — such as QuickBooks, Later, Kit, Canva, or Zoom — check if they have an affiliate or referral program. Most do.
2. I Created a Digital Product (Without a Full Course Launch)
When people think “passive income,” they think course. But let me be real: I didn’t have the time or energy to build a 10-module anything.
What I did have? A Google Doc that I had been sending to clients over and over — a script I created, a checklist I refined, a guide that worked.
So I cleaned it up. I branded it. I made it easy to download. And I sold it.
That one digital product?
It created a new income stream. It didn’t make me rich overnight, but it gave me breathing room — and that matters.
Start small.
What do people always ask you for?
That might be your first digital offer.
3. My Newsletter Became More Than Just an Email
I used to overthink email marketing.
What’s the strategy? The funnel? The lead magnet?
Then I tried something different: I started writing like I talk. A little cafecito, a little “girl, let me tell you what I just figured out,” and a lot of heart.
And slowly, it built a rhythm.
People started replying. Sharing. And yes — buying.
When I found platforms like Kit, I realized I could monetize my newsletter directly.
No big launch. No tech headache. Just… sharing my voice and getting paid for it.
If you have something to say, and you say it consistently, that is a product.
4. I Let My Podcast Be the Slow Burn
My podcast didn’t make money at first.
And honestly? That wasn’t the goal.
I started it to tell the stories I wasn’t seeing in the online space. To talk about money in a way that felt real and healing for Latina women like me.
But here’s what happened:
Even when I wasn’t selling anything, my podcast built trust.
People found me. Booked me. Hired me.
It planted seeds that bloomed later — way later.
Now, I’m starting to monetize it.
But even before the affiliate links or brand deals, it was working.
So if there’s something you want to say, don’t wait for it to be perfect. Sometimes the slowest path leads to the biggest doors.
5. I Created My Own Affiliate Program
Let me flip it for you.
What if other people could earn money by sharing your offer?
That’s what I did with my coaching academy.
One of my clients earned $1,000 just by referring her friends. No pitch, no pressure — just her sharing something that helped her.
I pay affiliates $400 per referral. And every time I send that payout? I’m reminded that community-based marketing > cold funnels any day.
If you have a group program, course, or coaching offer, you can do this too.
Start with a simple Airtable sheet and a personal invite to past clients. It doesn’t need to be fancy.
6. I Got Clear on What “Enough” Looks Like
Let me ask you this:
Have you ever said, “I just want to make more money” — without defining what “more” even means?
I’ve been there.
So I flipped the question.
Instead of “How do I sell more?”, I asked:
“What’s my goal — and what’s the easiest way to get there?”
Here’s what that looked like for me:
I want to earn an extra $1,500 this quarter
That could come from:
- 3 affiliate payouts
- 5 digital product sales
- 2 private clients from my newsletter
Now I had a plan. Not a guess.
If you’re overwhelmed, set one small income goal.
Then reverse-engineer the easiest path there. The low-hanging fruit is usually right in front of you.
7. I Stopped Trying to Create Content Daily
Content used to drain me.
Especially during hard seasons — personal, emotional, or just…life.
So I got honest about my energy. I realized I create best on Mondays. So that became my day.
I’d break it down:
- 20 minutes to plan
- 20 minutes to outline
- 20 minutes to write
- 20 minutes to find photos
- 20 minutes to schedule
That rhythm saved me. And my content? It still worked.
And when I saw something hit — a caption that got replies, a CTA that led to a sale — I saved it and reused it. No shame. Just strategy.
You don’t need to create more. You need to reuse what works.
8. I Started Letting My Money Work Too
This one isn’t sexy, but it’s powerful.
I moved my savings to a high-yield account with my favorite bank Ally. I opened a Fidelity account and started investing small amounts in index funds.
And guess what?
My money started growing, without me doing anything.
In just a few months, I earned nearly $200 in interest. That’s $200 that didn’t come from Instagram, a client, or a sale.

If you’re making income, start building wealth too, even if it’s small, especially if it’s small.
Final Thoughts: There’s More Than One Way to Grow
If you’ve been feeling stuck, exhausted, or just… uninspired by how you’re “supposed” to make money, I hope this gave you some fresh perspective.
Because the truth is:
There are softer ways to grow.
There are quieter ways to sell.
And there are overlooked ways to earn.
Start with one.
Just one.
And see where it leads.
And if you’re ready to build your own monetization plan? Let’s do it together.
Because you don’t have to hustle harder — you just need a plan that works for you.
