If you’ve been scrolling LinkedIn lately, you’ve probably seen it: colorful slides, bold numbers, and people sharing their LinkedIn 2025 Year in Review.
Think of it as LinkedIn’s version of “Wrapped.” It’s a recap the platform generates showing how you showed up this year — how many posts you shared, how many people followed you, who your first connection was, when you were most active, and how your ideas landed with others.
For some, it’s just a fun trend.
For me, it was something deeper: a mirror.
Because when I looked at my LinkedIn Year in Review, I didn’t just see metrics. I saw decisions, boundaries, strategy — and proof that intentional visibility can turn into real opportunities, real income, and real impact.
So yes, I’m participating in the trend — but I want to walk you through what it actually meant for my brand, my money, and my mission.

Why I Chose LinkedIn (and Let Go of Other Platforms)
At the beginning of 2025, I made a strategic shift.
I had spent years growing on Instagram and experimenting with TikTok. But something wasn’t clicking. My ideal client wasn’t consistently there — or at least, not in a way that supported the kind of work I wanted to do next.
My clients were navigating financial uncertainty. Some had experienced layoffs. Others were questioning their careers, their worth, and their next steps. They didn’t just need financial literacy. They needed someone who could hold space for the emotional side of money and help them plan strategically for what was next.
That person was me — and LinkedIn was where those conversations were already happening.
So instead of spreading myself thin, I doubled down on one platform with intention.
Reconnecting With My Network: The Opportunity Was Already There
One of the most powerful moments in my LinkedIn Year in Review was seeing my first-ever connection: Roman Olivera.
Roman is someone I’ve known for years, and reconnecting with him reminded me of something we don’t talk about enough:
your existing network is often your biggest opportunity.
When I intentionally started reaching back out — not to sell, but to reconnect — doors opened. I was invited to speak at my alma mater. I partnered with community colleges I had long-standing relationships with. I landed keynote talks and workshops with organizations whose values aligned with mine.
That wasn’t luck. That was alignment.
517 New Connections — and Why I Didn’t Want More
Yes, I gained 517 new connections this year. And no, I didn’t want more just for the sake of numbers.
I wanted meaningful conversations.
Aligned opportunities.
People who were actually doing the work.
One of the biggest lessons LinkedIn taught me this year was how much intentionality matters. I received countless connection requests and cold pitches — many of which completely ignored my profile, my boundaries, or the work I actually do.
Some of those messages made it straight into my “How Not to Engage on LinkedIn” folder — which, by the way, I’ll be using for a training I’m building next year. I even told a few people directly that their messages would be used for educational purposes.

Because here’s the truth:
The research never gets old.
If someone can’t take five minutes to understand who you are, they don’t deserve access to your time or energy.
What 336 Posts, 4,421 Reactions, and 689 Comments Taught Me
According to my Year in Review, I shared 336 posts, received 4,421 reactions, and sparked 689 comments.
But the real insight wasn’t the numbers — it was what kind of content performed best.
When I shared my tech stack for coaching and content creation, people saved it.
When I talked about how I afford expensive hobbies like skiing without breaking the bank, people shared it.
And when I posted some of my spicier takes? People talked.

But the posts that built the deepest trust were the educational ones — the ones that helped people shift their thinking, take action, or feel less alone.
Visibility matters, but value is what converts.
Visibility Without Burnout: Energy, Boundaries, and Systems
One thing LinkedIn made very clear in my Year in Review was when I’m most active and engaged: between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
That insight confirmed what I already knew — I don’t need to be online all day to be effective.
I batch content.
I plan ahead.
And I use Later to schedule my posts in advance.
This allows me to show up consistently without sacrificing my peace. I intentionally block 20-minute “Let’s Connect” windows instead of endless scrolling.
Boundaries aren’t a limitation.
They’re a business strategy.
Skill-Building as a Financial Strategy
Another highlight from my Year in Review? 17 new skills added.
I didn’t pursue certifications just to collect titles. My intention was never “one more credential.” It was growth.
Inside my work — and especially with our members — we teach that diversifying your skill set directly impacts your financial wellness. When you expand your capacity, you expand your opportunities.
Skill-building isn’t just professional development.
It’s wealth-building.
This Was Never Just About a Trend
Everything I did on LinkedIn this year was intentional, because I’m preparing for something bigger.
I’m currently working on my upcoming book:
Cash Libre: 10 Pillars to Help You Reclaim Your Purpose and Freedom
in partnership with Girl Friday Productions.
This book is about money, yes, but also identity, visibility, boundaries, and liberation. LinkedIn became the place where I practiced the message in real time: showing up fully, speaking honestly, and building trust before asking for anything in return.
A Note to My Fellow First-Gen Latinas
If you’re a first-generation Latina or woman of color reading this and wondering if LinkedIn is “for you,” let me say this clearly:
It is.
You don’t need permission to take up space.
You don’t need to sound like anyone else.
And you don’t need to chase every trend to be successful.
LinkedIn can be a tool for connection, clarity, and cash flow — when used with intention.
